Welcome, Montgomery Moms and Dads!

This group is for moms and dads in the Chicagoland Area who are striving to raise their children with values alternative to the typical mainstream straight lines.

Who are alternative parents? Someone who does something a little or way off the beaten path. If someone has ever said to you. "You do what!" Or you feel like you just don't fit in with the mainstream playgroups, you might just be an alternative parent.

This can include (but NOT limited to)? Attachment Parenting, vegetarian or Natural Nursery/organic living, homebirth, tree-huggers, same-gender parents, alternative religions, agnostic/atheist or newage? etc.

OR - Maybe you're just an awesomely open minded parent looking for diversity and a little something different.

The groups activities will be based on the interests of, and planned by, its members, but may include gatherings such as playgroups, picnics, bookgroups, educational outings such as trips to museums, gardens, or zoos, and on-line discussions on our message board.

Members meet in many different areas and locations all over Chicagoland!
